Chairman’s Message

The City of Heidelberg Bowling Club is one of the oldest clubs in Melbourne.  It is very well located near the Austin, Mercy and Warringal hospitals and within easy walking distance of the Heidelberg station.  It provides ample 24 hour parking for members.  The club itself is welcoming to new members and a variety of activities are conducted to entertain members throughout the week.  Fancy a game of bowls?  Would you like a game of scrabble or play euchre?  Meals are available once a month.  Drinks at cheap bar prices.  These are a few of the benefits of belonging to the club.

The club participates in Melbourne metropolitan pennant games which play on a Saturday and Tuesday.  Our experienced coach provides expert tuition to new as well as experienced bowlers.  Coaching classes are held each week as well as a number of social games.  Everyone is encouraged to participate in these social activities.  A social game on Wednesday nights is available for practice and also for those contemplating taking up bowling.

New prospective members are warmly welcomed and no club fees are required in the first year.  Full members pay a low annual fee which entitles them to full participation in all activities of the club and they have a say in the running of the club.

The club has 2 synthetic greens with lights for night games and activities, a club house with bar, kitchen facilities and a lounge area for social interaction.  Facilities are hired out to members and selected organisations when no club activities are being conducted.

Enquiries regarding membership or to try out to see if you like the game are welcomed and should be directed to the Secretary.

Come and join us and help improve your lifestyle in a friendly environment.
